We are a small team of hardware engineers, field operators, and IoT builders focused on deploying autonomous sensor systems into the environments that matter most but are hardest to reach.

KODA was built independently from the ground up by people deeply interested in earth observation, autonomous hardware, remote sensing, and the fundamental problem of data gaps in extreme environments.
Today we remain customer-funded and mission-driven. No investors shaping direction. No outside pressure defining the roadmap. Just a team committed to building rugged, reliable hardware systems that give operators continuous access to real-time intelligence from the places they cannot always be. We build for the mission, not for shareholders.
Our work spans modular sensor hardware, autonomous deployment systems, solar powered connectivity, cloud data platforms, and custom field configurations designed for rainforests, wetlands, alpine zones, and any environment too remote or too harsh for sustained human presence.
Who we are
We are hardware builders, remote operators, firmware engineers, and problem solvers from around the world who care deeply about what happens in the places humans cannot permanently occupy. With backgrounds spanning IoT engineering, earth observation, embedded systems, robotics, and field operations, we created KODA to bridge the gap between the environments teams need to monitor and the intelligence those environments have never been able to consistently produce.
We are especially drawn to difficult problems involving extreme environments, autonomous hardware survival, long-term remote deployments, and the challenge of building machines robust enough to outlast the conditions they are sent into. KODA is built around a long-term belief that autonomous sensing hardware will fundamentally reshape how we observe, protect, and understand the most difficult areas on Earth.
